Nature Wanders combines well-being and the outdoors into one unique experience
“After my guided walk with Suzanne, I felt calmer and more inspired to do something creative and more focused! There was a distinct difference in my overall mood from when I started out to when we finished!”
-Edme, Portland, Oregon—In-person walk
“I didn’t realize how much there is to see in the clouds, sky and trees. There were interesting colors and shapes everywhere. I noticed the sunset again for the first time in years and reminisced about my childhood and how much I loved the outdoors. It was so nice to get reacquainted with nature”.
–Doris (my Mom:), Boston, Massachusetts—Remote experience
Forest therapy is based on forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, a Japanese practice that offers the opportunity for people to immerse themselves into their natural environment. Using a series of “invitations” offered by your guide, forest therapy allows us to take a deep breath and connect with our environments and ourselves in a relaxed yet intimate experience.
As a certified Forest Therapy Guide, Suzanne Castner facilitates safe and gentle walks for her clients. With a lifetime love for outdoors activity, and a desire to help people slow down and reconnect with themselves and to nature. Suzanne is excited to bring this practice to anyone interested in using their natural surroundings to reduce stress, improve health, and reignite a sense of purpose.
“I was almost instantly relaxed and very present to the forcefulness of nature on this extremely windy/cold day. I really felt the vastness of the place we were in and with Suzanne’s guidance, I was able to really notice the tiniest details within our surroundings”.
–Joe, Taos, New Mexico—In-person walk
“Suzanne was able to accommodate my schedule that day and do a shorter, customized 90 minute version. I would love to do a full 2.5-3 hour experience next time! I left feeling buoyant, jubilant and energized!”
-Capri, Sedona, Arizona—In-person walk
My guided session with Suzanne was profound! I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially with a virtual/phone session, but I was blown away by my experience. I walk in the woods every day, but with Suzanne’s guidance (in a really short amount of time!) I became aware of how much I zoom past every day. This session was an exercise in noticing and left me with a deep sense of gratitude for—and connection to—my surroundings. I came into our session feeling frazzled and worried about time, but left feeling energized and spacious in the midst of a stressful day.
